Our company just published the free capella reader – for Windows and for the first time for Mac. capella reader displays, plays back and prints scores. Besides capella files, MusicXML and MIDI files are read in. This way musicians have access to innumerable scores available for download on the Internet.
capella reader has a completely new design and offers two different user interfaces: For work on a desktop computer or for computers with touchscreen user interface. In touch mode pages are turned by swiping with a finger.
Thanks to the built-in Soundfont technology the sound stock can be increased by download. This will yield a novel sound experience.
capella reader is an excellent tool for practicing as voices can be filtered or displayed and played back as voice extraction in variable tempo.
To take along capella reader it can be installed and operated on a USB stick. A version for mobile devices is in progress and will be released in the course of this year.
